Vehicle Equipment Check

If a summons is issued for an equipment defect in
violation (section 375, 376, 381 Vehicle and Traffic Law)
except where both headlamps are defective, and except
a violation relating to service of brakes, the charge will
be dismissed if proof is presented to the court that the
defect was corrected prior to 1/2 hour after sunset on
the first full business day after issuance of the
summons ( VTL 376-a)

        The Wappingers Falls Police Department             
can furnish a statement of correction form
that is acceptable proof of correction for court.
